The Brady/Horton 4th of July Picnic...
[Jack and Marlena are bringing plates out to the backyard, and Jennifer is with them]
Jennifer: You got that?
Jack: I got it.
Jennifer, pointing them to the table: Okay. Oh, here. Right there. There they are.
Marlena, laughing: Oh, yes, by the food, of course. What were we thinking?
Jennifer: Of course.
Shawn, by the cooler: Soy burgers, tofu hot dogs, and BBQ'd asparagus?
Bo: Mm-hmm.
Marlena: What?!
Shawn: Ever since Caroline went on a health food kick...
Bo: Not to worry. We have 63 Brady Burgers in there, too.
Jack: Speaking of phoney baloney, I would just like - I would like to -
Jennifer: No, no, no. This is a party. Party, party. Oh, the buns! I forgot the buns.
Jack: Yeah. [to Shawn] As I was saying, regarding Tony DiMera -
Abby: Daddy, daddy, daddy!
Jack, picking her up: Oh, look at you. There you are.
Abby: Hi, Daddy. Happy 4th of July.
Jack: Happy 4th of July.
Abby: I've been waiting all day to say that to you.
Jack: Yeah? You ready to par-tay? Par-tay! [Jennifer stands in front of the two, smiling at them]
Abby: I'm so glad you came. I was afraid that you'd be off chasing a story.
Jack, with a guilty look on his face: Uh...
[Abby and Will are playing together]
Abby: I'm gonna get you, Will, ready or not!
Jennifer: Oh, gosh. You know, I wish Jo and Vern could have stayed.
Jack: Well, I think they wanted to give us some time to be alone together - with Abigail.
Jennifer: You know, Jack -
Jack: I know, I know what you're going to say. No more work tonight. And I promise, I am just going to enjoy myself from now on. Watch. Uh, Abigail, Will, here I come, ready or not!
Abby: Daddy, we're not playing hide-and-seek.
Jack: Yes, you are. With me. Right now. Come on! [he runs after them and Jennifer laughs]
Belle: Excuse me, everyone, may I have your attention, please? As you all know, our friend Chloe Lane is sick. She has leukemia. We just recently found out that she needs a bone marrow transplant. So all of her friends are organizing a bone marrow drive. But we need volunteers -- people who are willing to go in and be tested. And we need people to organize things so that we can get the word out. Basic black has donated funds. We're hoping to get support from some other organizations as well. Mimi has a clipboard. She's taking down names tonight.

Belle: So whatever anyone can do to help, we would be very grateful. Thank you.
Jennifer: You know what, Jack? We are certainly in a position to help Chloe. We can do a whole feature on her.
Jack: A series.
Jennifer: Yeah, and we can start running it, uh...
Jack: Tomorrow. Tomorrow. In fact, let's go talk to the organizers right now and make something happen.
Jennifer: Okay, okay.
Jack: Come on. Let's go.
[Jack, having gone inside to use the phone, overhears that Bo had put a tail on Colin. Colin declares his devotion to the Brady side to Shawn, but asks that Shawn not ask anymore questions. Colin and Jack exhchange looks as Colin walks out.]
Back outside...
Jennifer: So they're going to hold the column, right, for the feature?
Jack: Uh, well, actually, I didn't get a chance to use the phone.
Jennifer: Oh, you didn't? But it's okay.
Jack: Good. I mean, I'll call on the way home. I will, but I just, uh, tonight's not about work, right?
Jennifer: That's right. Let's play. [She turns her back to him and smiles as the fireworks start]
Jack: Play. Let's play. [They stand contentedly together, watching the fireworks. Jack notices Colin watching them.]
Jack, looking at the fireworks: Aqua. Pink. Purple. It's green. It's green all over. [Jennifer laughs, and looks back at Jack and Abby smiling]
